Public Health & Humanitarian Aid

Medical assistance and humanitarian aid is still needed for populations torn apart by conflict or natural disasters. Military and civilian medical assistance can improve the provision of medical care, treat immediate needs, and build the capacity of the local medical services. Long-term efforts in the health sector also contribute to the positive development of legitimate governance.

Developing medical capacity in unstable environments requires an understanding of the security environment, as well as a deep knowledge of public systems best-practices and health care provision. Our Public Health and Humanitarian Aid SMEs support coordinating public health and humanitarian programs to work with US, host nation, and international agencies, providing technical assistance, and developing internal capacity.
